Is there parking nearby?
Yes, there's a car park by the shop (free for an hour but you still have to take a ticket!), or you can park in any of the side roads - they aren't permit-only.
How far in advance do I need to order my wedding dress?
We reckon six - eight months is plenty of time to order your wedding dress and allow time for any wedding dress alterations required. If your wedding is less then six months away, we may be able to get your wedding dress in time so it's definitely worth coming in to see us.
Do you do wedding dress alterations in your shop?
We do not offer in-house alterations service but we have the details of local dressmakers who the majority of our past brides have used and highly recommend. They will carry out alterations on your wedding dress at their home studio. We understand that brides get busier as the wedding draws nearer, so this option will give you the most flexibility. Of course if you're lucky enough to know a fab dressmaker, you're more than welcome to use them!
What happens once I find my dream wedding dress in your bridal shop?
When you have found the wedding dress of your dreams, we will take 50% of the full price of the wedding dress when you order it, then the remaining balance needs to be paid when the dress arrives in to our bridal shop. We'll let you know when your dress arrives at Boxmoor Bridal Boutique (usually in around 20 weeks), then you'll come in to try her on (your actual dress...eeek!). You can either take her away with you that day, or go for our storage option for £50, which includes secure, insured storage of your dress until you pick it up just before your wedding day. We'll also steam her so she's looking extra-beautful just before you collect her. And if you choose to have alterations done by one of our local seamstresses, we'll also arrange for your dress to be there for your fittings then take her back when you're done.
